The gold coin has a thin film of plastic around it and is wedged between two pieces of felt. How on Earth do I get it out?
That gold coin is 22 carat, gold proof, far more than just $ 70. You don't know what you're talking about at all.

That coin is worth about 70 $ . Take it to a coin dealer and ask them .
Edit:Depends on the size. I sold one a year ago . One of the smaller ones. They come in different sizes. I'm sure the price has increased but so what , you can't get yours out of the plastic.
I still say ask a coin dealer.
